2009 Nissan Maxima Friday, November 28, 2008 Real estate experts often advise buying the cheapest house in the best neighborhood. Does that apply to cars, too? More specifically, is it better to buy a "cheap" Infiniti than an expensive Nissan?

Winter tires tread rightly on snow, ice Sunday, November 16, 2008 Specials on "snow" tires are piling up faster than the white stuff.

Rebuilt engines (or remanufactured engines) have undergone a complete restoration. This means that the basic block head, crank and connecting rods have been reused but remanufactured to OEM specifications. The pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets and seals, oil pump, timing and valve train components have all been replaced with new parts.
Many original OEM manufacturing flaws in the engine can be diagnosed and corrected, thus resolving the engine’s initial reason for failure. Expect the rebuilt engine to equal or exceed the performance of the original engine as the replacement components are more up to date than the parts they replace. An extensive warranty accompanies each rebuilt engine further instilling consumer confidence in remanufactured engines.
Family economics has shown that the priority of a buying a new car has dropped from 3rd place to 11th place on the list of needs. The average price of a new vehicle today is $30,000 which can be 60 percent of the average family’s yearly income. Buying a used vehicle can cost $10,000 or better. This expense may be a financial burden for some households. With new technology, the life expectancy for most vehicles has greatly increased. Half the vehicles on the road today are 10 years or older. For a few thousand dollars a family vehicle can be equipped with a rebuilt engine, ultimately eliminating the costly options of a new or used vehicle.
For years the remanufactured engine has been a product that is environmentally responsible. By recycling damaged engines in mass quantities and rebuilding them, precious natural resources are saved. Most of the cost for an engine lies in the labor and raw materials used to produce the original engine. Rebuilt engines require 80 percent less energy than a new engine to remanufacture and costs thirty to fifty percent less because the majority of the product is the salvaged core. Remanufactured engines are green in two ways by saving natural resources and valuable dollars. By performing more efficiently, the rebuilt engine is kinder to the environment and to the consumer’s budget.
We offer a complete line of High Performance Crate Engines. Our Crate engines are designed for increased horsepower, torque and durability with a price that won't empty your wallet. We offer several levels of performance engines including:
High Output, Stroker, Street/Strip, Racing, and Marine Performance. If you need an engine that delivers more serious performance or are looking for something specific just give us a call to quote you a custom performance engine.
With gasoline prices nearing the $4 per gallon point, motorists can improve the efficiency and save money by installing a
rebuilt engine. If your car or truck is in relatively good shape but is having engine problems, a
remanufactured engine will help you stretch your dollars at the gas pump and is also a much more cost effective option compared to purchasing another car. For example, if your gas mileage improves by just 2 MPG and you drive 15,000 miles a year you will save 375 gallons. At $3.75/gallon that amounts to a $1,406 per year saving. If your gas mileage improvement is more, a
rebuilt engine will save you even more money at the pump.
